Mungo has extensive experience in strategic business change initiatives and delivery, programme management, and technical consultancy across the rail and transport sectors. With a career spanning over three decades, including service as a Royal Air Force Officer, Mungo has a proven track record of delivering successful and complex systems and infrastructure projects, operational improvements, and innovative solutions.
Mungo has held senior roles at prominent organisations including Network Rail, First Group, High Speed 1 Ltd, MTR Corporation and the Department for Transport where he has led critical programmes in digital signalling, station redevelopment, rail telecoms renewals, rail franchise reviews, strategic financial sponsorship and operational performance improvements. He led on the development of world-class customer service and operational plans for the 2012 London Olympics on behalf of London Overground, one of the key transport providers for the Games as well as operational and technical alternative transport initiatives and systems for TfL, many of which remain in use by them today.
